ADVENTIST YOUTH ON A MISSION
Adventist Youth on a Mission Michigan (AYM Michigan) is a ministry run by youth, for youth, geared for ages 12-20. We are a chapter, or an affiliate, of a larger network of youth called Adventist Youth on a Mission.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to connect and inspire young people through fellowship together, spiritual messages, outreach, and fun at our biannual retreats. We want to create a community of encouragement and support, to build each other up and strengthen our faith!
Our Retreats
Our weekend retreats for young people, by young people, are designed to help young people grow spiritually, reach the world around them and make lasting friendships. They typically take place on weekends in the spring and fall.

We are located in the northern United States in the beautiful state of Michigan. All our retreats are held in Michigan and we serve the Michigan residents and churches!
our mission
We are a group of young people who want to inspire youth to be on fire for Christ and bring more souls to Him. We see the need for Godly friendship and spiritual encouragement, and we want to help inspire the youth of our generation!
Meet Our Team
Andrew Horvath
President
Andrew is a 19-year-old from Cadillac, Michigan who loves birdwatching. His other hobbies include skiing, biking, and working with computers. One of his favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:19.
Jessica Landis
Treasurer
Jessica is an 19-year-old from Ovid, Michigan. She loves spending time with family and friends, interior designing, cooking, reading, playing the piano and guitar, and especially card making. She loves many bible verses, but the one that has stood out to her is John 6:37.
Greer Gerstenberger
Programming
Greer is 14 years old and lives in Snover Michigan. In her
spare time, she enjoys painting, drawing, playing the piano, guitar, and
reading. Greer also enjoys hiking and traveling. One of her favorite bible
verses is Romans 8:28. She enjoys this verse because it reminds her that even
in hard times God is always working circumstances out for good.
Dillon Austin
Vice President
Dillon is a 18-year-old photographer from Newberry, MI. He enjoys video editing and graphic design along with being outside, riding his bike, and going for runs. His favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:4 because it's a reminder to him to always be rejoicing!
Daniel Zita
Technology & Registration / Logistics
Daniel is a 16-year-old from Port Hope, Ontario. He really likes color grading videos, researching and using cameras, and spending time with friends and family. His favorite Bible verse is currently Isaiah 6:8, because it reminds him of our ultimate purpose and mission to complete the Great Commission.
Naomi Zita
Logistics
Naomi is a 14-year-old from Ontario, Canada. She enjoys music—especially the violin, baking, spending time with her friends and family, building things with her hands, and plants. Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 19:26 because it reminds her that, even when it seems unlikely, God can and will provide a way!
Karise Francis
Evangelism
Karise is 17-years-old and lives in Lansing, Michigan. She likes hanging out with friends, hiking, canoeing, and more outdoorsy things. Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 1:5 because it reminds her that before she was even born God had a special plan in mind for her.
Joshua Calvelage
Evangelism Assistant
Joshua is a 16 year old young person who loves God, and his goal is to lead others to him. His hobbies include playing guitar, metal-working and piano. He also enjoys wood working, camping and reading. One of his favorite bible verses is Heb 13:5 because it is reminder that God is always there for us.
Jamal Dukes
Secretary & Treasurer Assistant
Jamal is a 16 years old, and he enjoys skiing, going outdoors , working, and splitting firewood. He also likes camping and fishing, spending time with his family and church family, as well as pathfinders, working on cars, and volunteering.
My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 11:28: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
